Job Description
Lereko Construction is actively seeking a diligent and physically fit Grounds Labourer to join our project team in Ha Motseki, Mafeteng. This full-time, on-site role is vital to maintaining the safety, cleanliness, and overall appearance of our construction sites, project compounds, and surrounding landscapes. As a Grounds Labourer, you will be responsible for a wide range of outdoor tasks, ensuring that our operational areas are always well-kept and meet our high standards of presentation and safety. Your daily duties will involve not just general tidiness but also assisting with basic landscaping, minor repair work, and supporting various on-site activities as directed by the site management. Key Responsibilities
- Perform general grounds maintenance tasks, including litter picking, sweeping, raking, and weeding.
- Operate basic hand tools and power tools (e.g., mowers, trimmers) safely and efficiently, as instructed.
- Assist with landscaping duties such as planting, watering, and pruning vegetation.
- Clear debris, waste materials, and hazards from construction sites and surrounding areas.
- Support site operations by moving materials, assisting skilled trades, and preparing work areas.
- Conduct routine checks of grounds for any maintenance issues and report them to supervision.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage areas for tools and equipment.
