Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking an exceptionally talented and visionary Music Supervisor to join our creative team in Hoakalei, Ewa Beach. In this pivotal role, you will be the maestro connecting compelling visuals with evocative soundscapes, ensuring our film, television, and digital content resonate deeply with audiences. We are searching for an individual with an encyclopedic knowledge of music across genres and eras, a keen ear for emerging talent, and a strategic understanding of music licensing and copyright.

As our Music Supervisor, you will be instrumental in all phases of production, from conceptualization through post-production. This isn’t just about finding background tracks; it’s about curating sonic identities, collaborating closely with directors, producers, and editors to define the emotional core and narrative thrust of our projects through music. You will delve into vast music libraries, negotiate usage rights, manage budgets, and maintain strong relationships with artists, labels, and publishers. Your expertise will bridge the creative and logistical challenges of music integration, navigating complex legal frameworks while upholding artistic integrity. You will champion the role of music, advising creative teams on how specific tracks can enhance mood, pace, and character development, ensuring a cohesive and impactful sonic journey for every viewer.

This role demands a unique blend of artistic sensibility, meticulous organizational skills, and robust business acumen. You will be expected to remain abreast of current music trends, licensing regulations, and industry best practices, continuously expanding our network of music contacts. Your day-to-day could involve anything from pitching a forgotten indie gem for a pivotal scene to orchestrating a complex original score, always with an eye on both creative impact and budgetary constraints. You’ll be a key creative partner, not just a service provider, deeply embedded in the narrative development process. If you are passionate about the power of music in visual media, thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, and possess the drive to elevate storytelling through sound, we invite you to bring your talent to Career.zycto. We offer a stimulating atmosphere where innovation is celebrated, and your contributions will leave an indelible mark on our projects and brand, reaching audiences worldwide.
