Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive credit analysis on corporate and individual clients, assessing financial statements, business models, and market conditions.
- Develop, implement, and monitor credit risk policies and procedures in alignment with regulatory requirements and internal guidelines.
- Evaluate credit applications, prepare detailed risk reports, and present findings and recommendations to the credit committee.
- Manage and monitor existing credit portfolios, identifying early warning signals and implementing corrective actions to mitigate potential losses.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, economic indicators, and regulatory changes impacting credit risk.
- Collaborate with sales, legal, and operations teams to structure credit facilities and ensure efficient onboarding processes.
- Contribute to the enhancement of credit risk models, tools, and systems.
- Prepare regular risk reports and presentations for senior management and regulatory bodies.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in credit risk management, financial analysis, or a related banking role.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and financial modeling techniques.
- In-depth knowledge of credit risk assessment methodologies and tools.
- Familiarity with relevant financial regulations (e.g., Basel III, German banking laws).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and experience with risk management software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
