Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport event equipment, supplies, and materials to and from event venues.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of trucks and vans, ensuring proper handling and care of all items.
- Support the setup and breakdown of event infrastructure, including staging, lighting, sound systems, and decor.
- Run errands as needed, picking up last-minute supplies or fulfilling specific requests from event managers.
- Maintain accurate inventory records for equipment and supplies, reporting any discrepancies.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of storage areas and vehicles.
- Act as a reliable point of contact for on-site teams, communicating effectively and promptly.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and operational procedures during transportation and on-site activities.
- Be proactive in identifying and resolving minor logistical issues that may arise during events.
Required Skills
- Valid Jamaican driver's license (General or Private)
- Clean driving record and comfortable navigating various terrains across Jamaica.
- Excellent physical stamina and ability to lift heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong sense of responsibility.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and interpersonal.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in event logistics, warehouse operations, or a similar runner role.
- Familiarity with various event production equipment (sound, lighting, video).
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Geographical familiarity with St. Andrew and other parishes in Jamaica.
