Job Description
As a Full-Time Virtual English Instructor at Amideast Egypt, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, engaging, and interactive English language instruction to a diverse range of students, from young learners to adult professionals. This remote position offers the flexibility to work from anywhere within Egypt while contributing to Amideast’s mission of empowering individuals through education. You will be responsible for creating a dynamic and supportive virtual classroom environment, utilizing cutting-edge online teaching tools and methodologies to ensure effective learning outcomes. Our instructors go beyond simply teaching grammar and vocabulary; they inspire confidence, foster critical thinking, and facilitate cultural understanding. You will meticulously plan and execute lessons that align with Amideast’s curriculum standards, assess student progress through various means, and provide constructive feedback to help students achieve their language proficiency goals. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, interactive, and high-quality English language lessons in a virtual setting, catering to various proficiency levels and age groups.
- Develop and adapt lesson plans, materials, and activities in accordance with Amideast's curriculum guidelines and student needs.
- Effectively utilize virtual classroom platforms, digital tools, and multimedia resources to enhance the learning experience.
- Assess student progress regularly through assignments, quizzes, and participation, providing timely and constructive feedback.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and progress.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and encouraging virtual learning environment that promotes active participation and cultural understanding.
- Collaborate with academic coordinators and colleagues to ensure consistency and quality of instruction.
- Participate in regular professional development sessions and training workshops to enhance teaching skills and stay updated on pedagogical best practices.
- Provide academic support and guidance to students, addressing their individual learning challenges and goals.
Required Skills
- Native or near-native English proficiency (C2 level).
- Proven experience (minimum 2 years) in teaching English as a Foreign Language (EFL) or English as a Second Language (ESL).
- Demonstrated proficiency in using virtual classroom platforms (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet) and online learning tools.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong pedagogical knowledge and understanding of modern language teaching methodologies.
- Ability to adapt teaching styles and materials to diverse student needs and learning styles.
- Reliable internet connection, suitable workspace, and technical proficiency for remote teaching.
- Time management and organizational skills to handle multiple classes and administrative tasks effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
