Job Description
Career.zycto is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Warehouse Dispatcher & Logistics Movement Specialist to join our growing team in Homa Bay County. In this pivotal role, you will be the backbone of our operational efficiency, responsible for the seamless flow of goods from our warehouse to various destinations across the region. You will coordinate all inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring timely and accurate dispatch of products while optimizing transport routes and managing our fleet effectively.

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the daily dispatch of goods, including scheduling, routing, and assigning drivers and vehicles for deliveries and collections.
- Monitor and track shipments in real-time, providing updates to relevant stakeholders and proactively addressing any delays or issues.
- Manage warehouse inventory, ensuring accurate stock levels, proper storage, and efficient space utilization.
- Liaise with suppliers, customers, and internal departments to ensure smooth communication and resolution of logistical queries.
- Maintain comprehensive records of all logistics activities, including dispatch logs, delivery confirmations, and inventory movements.
- Ensure strict compliance with all company policies, safety regulations, and local transportation laws.
- Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Conduct regular inspections of vehicles and equipment to ensure they meet safety and operational standards.
- Prepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly logistics reports to management.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in a logistics, dispatch, or warehouse management role.
- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities, with a capacity to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting professionally with diverse teams and external partners.
- Proficiency in using logistics software, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick, informed decisions under pressure.
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail in record-keeping and inventory management.
- Understanding of supply chain principles and freight management.
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Familiarity with Homa Bay County’s geographical layout and road networks.
- Experience with specific Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Certification in supply chain management or logistics (e.g., CILT, APICS).
