Key Responsibilities
- Curate, prepare, and perform engaging and dynamic music sets tailored to specific event themes and audience demographics.
- Operate and maintain professional DJ equipment (turntables, mixers, controllers, software) ensuring optimal sound quality and seamless transitions.
- Actively read and respond to the crowd's energy, adapting musical selections to keep the audience entertained and engaged.
- Collaborate effectively with event organizers, venue staff, and other performers to ensure smooth event execution.
- Conduct thorough sound checks and troubleshoot any technical issues promptly to maintain a professional standard.
- Adhere to venue policies, licensing regulations, and health & safety guidelines.
- Promote a positive and inclusive atmosphere, contributing to a memorable experience for all attendees.
- Maintain an up-to-date music library, constantly seeking new tracks and trends relevant to various genres.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of proven professional DJ experience in live event settings.
- Extensive and diverse music knowledge across multiple genres (e.g., House, Techno, Pop, R&B, Funk, Disco, Rock).
- Proficiency with industry-standard DJ software (e.g., Serato, Rekordbox, Traktor) and hardware (e.g., Pioneer CDJs, Technics turntables).
- Exceptional ability to 'read' an audience and adapt playlists in real-time.
- Strong technical aptitude for audio equipment setup, mixing, and basic troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting professionally with clients, staff, and guests.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
