Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Remote Agile Project Assistant to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about fostering efficient workflows and supporting agile project delivery from a remote setting. As an integral part of our project management function, you will play a critical role in ensuring our agile teams operate smoothly, remove roadblocks, and maintain clear communication across all stakeholders. You will contribute directly to the successful execution of various projects, ranging from technology implementations to strategic initiatives, by providing essential administrative and coordination support.

In this role, you will work closely with Project Managers, Scrum Masters, and cross-functional teams, acting as a central hub for information flow and logistical support. Your ability to anticipate needs, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing project requirements will be key to your success. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Project Managers and Scrum Masters in the daily execution of agile projects.
  • Facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospective meetings by scheduling, preparing agendas, and documenting key decisions and action items.
  • Maintain and update project documentation, including backlogs, user stories, burndown charts, and release plans using project management tools.
  • Track project progress, identify potential impediments, and escalate issues to the Project Manager or Scrum Master as needed.
  • Coordinate communication between project teams, stakeholders, and external vendors.
  • Help prepare reports and presentations on project status, risks, and resource allocation.
  • Support onboarding of new team members by organizing access to tools and relevant project information.
  • Organize and maintain shared team calendars, ensuring all key dates and deadlines are communicated.
  • Proactively identify areas for process improvement within agile ceremonies and project workflows.

Required Skills

  • 1-2 years of experience in a project coordination or administrative support role, preferably within an agile environment.
  • Foundational understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Jira, Asana, Trello) and collaboration tools (e.g., Slack, Microsoft Teams).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of interacting effectively with diverse teams.
  • Strong organizational skills with an acute attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides) or Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team setting.
  • Problem-solving aptitude and a proactive approach to task management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Communications, or a related field.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or other Agile certifications (e.g., SAFe Agilist).
  • Experience working with globally distributed teams.
  • Familiarity with reporting and data visualization tools.
  • Experience in the HR Tech or Professional Services industry.
