Key Responsibilities
- Assist in regular updates of the Jozani Lodge website, including text, images, and promotions.
- Support the creation and scheduling of engaging content for our social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram).
- Draft and edit blog posts, news articles, and other digital content relevant to the lodge and Zanzibar tourism.
- Perform basic search engine optimization (SEO) tasks, such as keyword research and meta-data updates.
- Monitor website performance and report on key metrics using analytics tools.
- Help manage online reviews and respond to guest inquiries across various platforms.
- Assist with email marketing campaigns and newsletter creation.
- Organize and maintain digital assets, including photo and video libraries.
- Collaborate with the lodge management to gather information and ensure brand consistency across all digital channels.
- Undertake other digital administrative tasks as required to support the lodge's online presence.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in basic web content management systems (e.g., WordPress).
- Familiarity with social media platforms and content scheduling tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (Swahili is a plus).
- Basic understanding of SEO principles.
