Key Responsibilities
- Assist chefs and cooks with ingredient preparation, including washing, peeling, chopping, and slicing fruits, vegetables, and other food items.
- Maintain high standards of kitchen cleanliness and hygiene, regularly cleaning work surfaces, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
- Support the cooking and baking process by ensuring all necessary ingredients and tools are readily available.
- Assist with receiving, sorting, and storing food supplies, ensuring proper rotation and minimizing waste.
- Package and label prepared food items for display in the deli and bakery sections.
- Operate basic kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Adhere strictly to food safety regulations and company policies.
- Assist in the washing and sanitizing of dishes, pots, and pans.
- Support inventory management by reporting low stock levels and assisting with stock counts.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the kitchen management to ensure smooth operations.
