You’ll be involved in a variety of tasks, from performing light maintenance and repairs to assisting with inventory management and coordinating with external vendors. Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine light maintenance tasks and minor repairs (e.g., changing lightbulbs, tightening fixtures, painting touch-ups).
- Assist with preventative maintenance schedules for equipment and building systems.
- Ensure cleanliness, tidiness, and organization of common areas, offices, and utility rooms.
- Support the setup and takedown of rooms for meetings, events, and new employee onboarding.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of facility supplies, requesting new stock as needed.
- Act as a primary point of contact for external service providers and contractors.
- Conduct regular safety checks and assist in maintaining a safe working environment.
- Report any major maintenance issues, hazards, or repair needs to senior facility staff.
- Assist with waste management and recycling initiatives.
- Support security measures, including locking/unlocking doors and monitoring access points.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Basic understanding of general maintenance or repair tasks.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, and walking for extended periods.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and highly organized.
- Eager to learn and take initiative.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer service or support role.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license.
- Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
