Job Description
Port Said Engineering Works is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Welder Fabricator to join our dynamic team in Port Said. As a critical member of our production and maintenance crew, you will be instrumental in the construction, modification, and repair of various complex metal structures and components, which are vital to our projects spanning the marine, oil & gas, and general industrial sectors. This hands-on role demands a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of intricate blueprints and technical specifications, and exceptional proficiency in a diverse range of welding techniques.
You will be expected to interpret detailed engineering drawings, precisely cut and shape metal, expertly fit components, and perform high-quality welds to ensure the utmost structural integrity and aesthetic finish of our products. Our projects often involve working on critical infrastructure, so precision and strict adherence to industry standards are paramount. Your daily tasks will involve working with a variety of materials, including but not limited to, carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum, utilizing established welding processes such as SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding), GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding, commonly known as MIG), and GTAW (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding, or TIG).

Key Responsibilities
- Read and accurately interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications to determine layout, sequence of operations, and required materials.
- Cut, grind, and shape metal components using various tools such as grinders, plasma cutters, oxy-fuel cutting equipment, and shears.
- Perform precise fitting and layout operations to prepare components for welding, ensuring accurate alignment, measurement, and structural integrity.
- Execute high-quality welds using a variety of techniques including SMAW, GMAW, and GTAW on different types of metals (e.g., carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum).
- Operate and maintain welding equipment and related tools in a safe, efficient, and proper working condition.
- Inspect finished welds meticulously for defects, ensuring full compliance with quality standards, project specifications, and structural integrity requirements.
- Perform repairs, modifications, and retrofits on existing metal structures, machinery, and equipment as required.
- Strictly adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and relevant industry regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate effectively with other team members, engineers, project managers, and supervisors to achieve project goals.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.
