Key Responsibilities
- Assist with daily feeding routines and monitor fish behavior and health.
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of tanks, nets, and equipment.
- Monitor water quality parameters and adjust systems as needed.
- Participate in the grading, sorting, and transfer of fish.
- Support inventory management of feed and supplies.
- Help with hatchery operations, including egg handling and fry care.
- Assist during fish harvests and transfers.
- Maintain accurate records of activities, observations, and data.
- Adhere to strict biosecurity protocols and health & safety standards.
- Operate basic farm machinery and tools safely and effectively (training provided).
Required Skills
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Physical fitness and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Comfort working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
- Basic observational skills and attention to detail.
- Commitment to animal welfare and workplace safety.
- Excellent communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid Class 5 British Columbia Driver’s License.
- First Aid/CPR certification.
- Previous experience in a physical labor role or outdoor environment.
