Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
- Provide support with instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs) such as light housekeeping, laundry, meal planning, and preparation.
- Assist with safe mobility, transfers, and ambulation, utilizing appropriate techniques and equipment.
- Provide companionship, engage in meaningful conversation, and participate in recreational activities.
- Remind clients to take medications as prescribed (no administration of medication).
- Run errands, shop for groceries, or accompany clients to appointments.
- Monitor and report changes in client’s health, behavior, or living conditions to the appropriate supervisor.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment within the client's home.
- Document services provided accurately and punctually.
Required Skills

- Ability to follow instructions and adapt to various client needs.
- Basic understanding of hygiene and safety principles (training provided).
- Physical ability to assist clients with mobility and perform light household tasks.
- High school diploma or GED (or willingness to obtain within a reasonable timeframe).
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a caregiving role (formal or informal, e.g., caring for a family member).
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- CPR and First Aid certification (can be obtained during training).
- Knowledge of basic nutrition and meal preparation.
