Key Responsibilities

  • Assist skilled tradespeople (e.g., bricklayers, carpenters, electricians) on site.
  • Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and loading/unloading materials.
  • Operate and maintain a variety of hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
  • Handle and transport construction materials (e.g., cement, bricks, timber) to designated areas.
  • Erect and dismantle temporary structures such as scaffolding and site hoardings under supervision.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including tidying up work areas and disposing of waste.
  • Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations and procedures.
  • Perform general labour duties as required to support site operations.

Required Skills

  • Physical fitness and stamina for manual labour.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team.
  • Basic understanding of construction site safety procedures.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to perform tasks diligently in various weather conditions.
  • Effective communication skills (English).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a construction environment (6+ months).
  • Valid CSCS Card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme).
  • Knowledge of different construction materials and their uses.
  • Basic first aid certification.
