Key Responsibilities
- Prepare laboratory samples, reagents, and solutions according to standard operating procedures.
- Assist scientists with experimental setups, data collection, and basic analysis.
- Maintain laboratory equipment by cleaning, calibrating, and performing routine checks.
- Ensure the laboratory is kept clean, organised, and compliant with all safety regulations.
- Accurately record and document experimental data, observations, and results.
- Manage laboratory supplies and inventory, ensuring materials are readily available.
- Dispose of waste materials safely and in accordance with environmental guidelines.
- Adhere strictly to health and safety protocols and quality control standards.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions regarding lab processes.
Required Skills
- GCSEs or equivalent in Science (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics) and Maths
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite)
- Ability to follow instructions meticulously
