Key Responsibilities

  • Warmly greeting all customers entering the store and providing exceptional, friendly service, assisting them with product inquiries, locating items, and making informed purchasing decisions.
  • Actively assisting with merchandise display and visual merchandising efforts, ensuring the store is consistently visually appealing, clean, well-organized, and stocked according to company standards.
  • Accurately and efficiently processing sales transactions using the point-of-sale (POS) system, handling cash, credit, and debit payments, and issuing receipts.
  • Responsible for restocking shelves, organizing inventory in the backroom, monitoring product availability, and assisting with regular inventory counts.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and tidy store environment at all times, including the sales floor, fitting rooms, restrooms, and customer service areas, to ensure a pleasant shopping experience.
  • Collaborating effectively with team members and management, contributing to a positive, supportive, and collaborative workplace culture.
  • Professionally and courteously handling customer returns, exchanges, and complaints, striving for resolution and customer satisfaction.
  • Adhering strictly to all company policies and procedures, including those related to cash handling, security, loss prevention, and health and safety guidelines.
  • Proactively learning about new products, promotions, and sales initiatives to effectively communicate information and recommendations to customers.
  • Assisting with opening and closing procedures of the store as required, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and on time.

Required Skills

  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage customers positively.
  • Strong customer service orientation, demonstrating a friendly, approachable, and helpful demeanor.
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented retail environment.
  • Demonstrated reliability and punctuality, coupled with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
  • Basic mathematical skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods, walk throughout the store, and lift up to 25 lbs safely.
  • A genuine enthusiasm for learning new tasks and products, along with a consistently positive attitude.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent secondary education.
  • Previous experience in any customer-facing role (e.g., hospitality, food service, volunteer work) is considered an asset but is not strictly required.
  • Familiarity or prior experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as per retail operational needs.
