Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick and pack orders according to picking lists and established procedures.
- Verify the quantity, quality, and condition of items picked against order specifications.
- Operate warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks and hand trucks, safely and efficiently.
- Assist with receiving, unloading, and systematically stocking incoming inventory.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, strictly adhering to all company and industry safety protocols.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and report any discrepancies to supervisors promptly.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet daily and weekly production targets.
- Prepare goods for shipment, including proper labeling, scanning, and staging in designated areas.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the warehouse to enhance efficiency and safety.
- Handle materials and products with extreme care to prevent damage or loss.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a warehouse picker or in a similar inventory handling role.
- Ability to read and accurately interpret picking lists, manifests, and shipping documents.
- Physical stamina and strength to lift and move heavy objects (up to 25 kg) frequently throughout the shift.
- Basic understanding of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Good verbal communication skills and a strong ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all tasks.
- Ability to work effectively and maintain productivity in a fast-paced, dynamic warehouse environment.
- Demonstrated punctuality, reliability, and a strong sense of responsibility.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Experience with inventory management systems (IMS) or warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Certification or experience operating a forklift or other heavy warehouse machinery.
- Familiarity with various types of warehouse equipment and their safe operation.
- Previous experience working within a logistics, distribution, or supply chain company.
