Job Description

Cervejas de Moçambique (CDM) is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Delivery Driver to join our vibrant team in Milange, Zambezia Province. This is a critical role that ensures our refreshing products reach our valued customers and points of sale efficiently and in perfect condition. As a CDM Delivery Driver, you will be the face of our company on the road, playing a vital part in our supply chain and customer satisfaction. Your daily duties will involve operating company vehicles, ranging from vans to larger trucks, to deliver a diverse portfolio of beverage products. You will be responsible for meticulously managing inventory during transit, ensuring all items are accounted for and handled with care, and upholding the highest standards of safety and professionalism at all times. Your responsibilities will include planning optimal delivery routes across Milange and its surrounding districts, conducting thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, and accurately checking orders against delivery manifests. Additionally, you will be expected to assist with secure loading and unloading, engaging with customers positively, and ensuring all required paperwork is completed diligently. This role requires not only exceptional driving skills but also a keen eye for detail, strong organizational abilities to handle multiple deliveries, and an unwavering customer-centric approach. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate and maintain company delivery vehicles, including regular pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Efficiently load, unload, and deliver beverage products to various clients and distribution points within Milange and surrounding districts.
- Accurately verify product quantities against delivery notes and obtain necessary signatures upon delivery.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report any mechanical issues or damage promptly.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, representing CDM professionally.
- Assist with warehouse duties, including sorting and organizing products, as needed.
- Manage delivery schedules to ensure timely and efficient route completion.
- Handle cash or mobile money payments and submit reports as per company procedures.
- Ensure the security of products and company assets during transportation.
Required Skills
- Valid Class C (or equivalent for heavy vehicle) Mozambican driving license with a clean record.
- Minimum of 3 years of proven professional delivery driving experience, preferably with large commercial vehicles.
- Ability to read maps, use GPS navigation, and plan efficient delivery routes.
- Excellent physical stamina and ability to lift and carry heavy packages (up to 25 kg repeatedly).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in managing delivery documentation and inventory.
- High level of responsibility and reliability.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in beverage distribution or FMCG industry.
- Familiarity with Milange and Zambezia Province geography and road networks.
- Experience operating forklifts or pallet jacks.
- Proficiency in Portuguese (written and spoken); knowledge of local languages is a plus.
- First Aid certification.
