Job Description

Career.zycto is actively seeking a passionate and driven Talent Acquisition Specialist to spearhead our student recruitment initiatives. In this pivotal role, you will be the face of our organization to a new generation of professionals, identifying, engaging, and attracting top-tier student talent from universities and colleges across British Columbia and beyond. This is an exciting opportunity to develop and implement innovative strategies for campus recruitment, foster strong relationships with academic institutions, and cultivate a robust pipeline of future leaders and specialists.

Your day-to-day will involve a blend of strategic planning, active sourcing, relationship management, and candidate experience optimization. You will design and execute targeted recruitment campaigns, represent Career.zycto at career fairs, information sessions, and networking events, both virtually and in-person. A key focus will be on understanding the evolving landscape of student recruitment, including co-op programs, internships, new graduate roles, and diversity initiatives, ensuring our approaches are inclusive and effective. You will also play a crucial role in enhancing our employer brand among students, showcasing Career.zycto as an employer of choice where early career professionals can truly thrive and make a significant impact. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive campus recruitment strategies, including participation in career fairs, information sessions, and networking events.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with career services, faculty, and student organizations at target universities and colleges.
  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for student candidates, from initial outreach and screening to interview coordination and offer management.
  • Create engaging employer branding content tailored for student audiences, leveraging social media, online platforms, and campus partnerships.
  • Innovate and implement new sourcing techniques to attract diverse student talent for internships, co-op placements, and new graduate roles.
  • Track and analyze recruitment metrics to assess the effectiveness of student programs and identify areas for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate closely with internal hiring managers to understand their specific talent needs and develop tailored student recruitment plans.
  • Ensure an exceptional candidate experience for all student applicants, maintaining clear communication and providing timely feedback.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, best practices, and competitive landscapes in student and early career recruitment.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in talent acquisition, with a strong focus on campus recruitment or early career programs.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with academic institutions and student bodies.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated experience with various sourcing tools and applicant tracking systems (ATS).
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A passion for identifying, developing, and mentoring emerging talent.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
  • Experience with employer branding specifically targeting student populations.
  • Familiarity with the Vancouver and broader Canadian higher education landscape.
  • Experience planning and executing virtual recruitment events and campaigns.
  • A track record of successfully placing students into internships, co-ops, or full-time roles.
