Key Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and conduct thorough investigations into potential security incidents.
- Perform root cause analysis for security breaches and recommend corrective actions.
- Implement, configure, and manage security tools and technologies such as SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, and firewalls.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing, providing actionable remediation advice.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and best practices in alignment with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in incident response activities, including containment, eradication, and recovery.
- Educate and advise internal teams on cybersecurity best practices and potential threats.
- Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies.
- Contribute to security architecture reviews and design secure solutions.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in security operations, incident response, or security analysis.
- Strong understanding of networking protocols, operating systems (Windows, Linux), and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Proficiency with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, Elastic SIEM, Microsoft Sentinel).
- Familiarity with common attack vectors, security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001), and compliance regulations (GDPR, HIPAA).
- Hands-on experience with vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Nessus, Qualys).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
