Career.zycto is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Vendor Manager to join our dynamic team in Arlington Heights, IL. In this pivotal full-time role, you will be instrumental in managing the full lifecycle of our vendor relationships, ensuring optimal performance, cost-effectiveness, and strategic alignment with our business objectives. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in procurement, contract negotiation, and supplier relationship management, demonstrating exceptional communication skills and a keen eye for detail. You will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and onboarding new vendors, as well as continuously monitoring and improving the performance of existing partners. This position requires a strategic thinker who can not only manage daily operational tasks but also contribute to long-term vendor strategy development and execution. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive vendor management strategies in alignment with company goals.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with new and existing vendors to secure optimal agreements and maximize value.
- Monitor vendor performance against agreed-upon Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and contractual obligations.
- Conduct regular business reviews with key suppliers to assess performance, identify areas for improvement, and foster strong relationships.
- Identify, evaluate, and qualify potential new vendors based on business needs, strategic objectives, and risk assessments.
- Manage vendor onboarding processes, ensuring compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and industry best practices.
- Resolve vendor-related issues, disputes, and performance challenges in a timely and effective manner.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders, including legal, finance, operations, and project teams, to ensure alignment and support for vendor initiatives.
- Track and report on vendor spend, cost savings initiatives, and overall performance metrics.
- Stay informed of market trends, industry best practices, and new technologies in vendor management to drive continuous improvement.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in vendor management, procurement, or supply chain roles.
- Demonstrated expertise in contract negotiation, management, and lifecycle processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation abilities, capable of engaging with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for reporting and analysis.
