As a Drywall Installer with Egesa Construction, you will be instrumental in the finishing phase of our diverse projects, ranging from commercial buildings to residential developments. Your primary responsibility will involve the precise installation and finishing of drywall panels, ensuring a seamless, aesthetically pleasing, and structurally sound interior for our clients. This role demands meticulous attention to detail, a strong understanding of construction blueprints, and the ability to work efficiently and safely, often within tight deadlines.
You will be expected to prepare surfaces, measure and cut drywall sheets to fit specific dimensions, accurately fasten them to studs or joists, and expertly apply joint compound, tape, and texture to achieve smooth, finished walls and ceilings. Knowledge of different types of drywall (e.g., moisture-resistant, fire-resistant) and their appropriate applications is highly valued. Furthermore, the ability to identify and rectify imperfections, ensuring a pristine finish ready for painting or other decorative treatments, is crucial.

Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings to determine layout and installation procedures.
- Measure, cut, and install drywall sheets accurately onto walls and ceilings using various tools.
- Fasten drywall panels to metal or wood studs and ceiling joists.
- Apply multiple coats of joint compound (mud) to seams, nail holes, and corner beads.
- Tape and sand joints and imperfections to create a smooth, seamless surface ready for painting.
- Finish corners with corner bead and ensure precise, clean lines.
- Ensure all work meets quality standards, building codes, and client specifications.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering strictly to all safety regulations and PPE requirements.
- Collaborate effectively with other construction trades and team members.
- Inspect finished surfaces for flaws and make necessary repairs.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in measuring, cutting, and installing drywall panels.
- Expertise in taping, mudding, and sanding drywall joints.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
