Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking a highly skilled and meticulous Contract Manager to join our growing team in North Kildonan, Winnipeg. This critical role is designed for a dedicated professional with a keen eye for detail and a comprehensive understanding of contract law and risk management. As a Contract Manager, you will be instrumental in safeguarding our organizational interests, ensuring compliance, and optimizing contractual relationships across various projects and departments. We are looking for an English-speaking candidate who can confidently draft, negotiate, execute, and manage a diverse portfolio of contracts, ranging from vendor agreements and client contracts to service level agreements and partnership documents. You will serve as a primary point of contact for all contractual matters, working closely with internal stakeholders, legal counsel, and external parties to facilitate smooth and legally sound operations. Your ability to communicate complex contractual terms clearly and effectively will be paramount to success in this fast-paced and collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the entire contract lifecycle, from initial drafting and negotiation to execution, monitoring, and renewal/termination.
  • Develop, review, and negotiate various types of contracts, including service agreements, vendor contracts, partnership agreements, and non-disclosure agreements, ensuring adherence to company policies and legal requirements.
  • Act as the primary liaison between internal departments (Sales, Operations, Finance, Legal) and external parties on all contractual matters.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate contractual risks, providing expert advice and recommendations to senior management.
  • Maintain an organized and comprehensive contract management system, ensuring all documents are accurately recorded, stored, and accessible.
  • Monitor contract performance to ensure compliance with terms and conditions, deadlines, and deliverables.
  • Prepare and present reports on contract status, key terms, and compliance issues to relevant stakeholders.
  • Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices affecting contract management.
  • Facilitate contract amendments, variations, and dispute resolutions in a timely and effective manner.
  • Provide training and guidance to internal teams on contract processes and best practices.

Required Skills

  • Excellent command of the English language (written and verbal).
  • Proven expertise in contract drafting, negotiation, and management.
  • Strong understanding of contract law, commercial terms, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency with contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills for engaging with diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret complex contractual documents.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCCM) or similar professional certification.
  • Experience with international contracts and cross-border transactions.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific regulations relevant to professional services.
  • Project management experience.
  • Legal background or paralegal certification.
