Key Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of diagnostic imaging procedures (X-ray, Fluoroscopy, CT, MRI, Ultrasound as per scope of practice) in accordance with departmental protocols and national guidelines.
- Ensure accurate patient identification, appropriate examination techniques, and optimal image quality for diagnostic interpretation.
- Prioritize patient care, comfort, and safety throughout the imaging process, including explaining procedures and managing anxieties.
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment, conducting routine checks and reporting faults as necessary.
- Collaborate effectively with radiologists, medical consultants, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated patient care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and contribute to data collection for quality improvement initiatives.
- Adhere to strict radiation protection guidelines for patients, staff, and the general public.
- Participate in continuing professional development (CPD) and training initiatives to enhance skills and knowledge.
Required Skills
- Current registration as a Radiographer in the United States (e.g., ARRT certification).
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Radiography or Diagnostic Imaging.
- Minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience in a clinical radiography setting.
- Demonstrable expertise in operating modern diagnostic imaging equipment.
- Strong understanding of radiation protection principles and patient safety protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Eligibility to register with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) in the UK (or willingness to complete the process with our support).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working in an international healthcare setting.
- Specialization or advanced certification in modalities such as CT, MRI, or Ultrasound.
