As a College Lecturer for Foreigners, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality lectures, seminars, and practical sessions across various subjects relevant to our international curriculum. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality lectures, seminars, and workshops to international students, adapting teaching methods to diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
- Develop and update curriculum materials, assessments, and learning resources that are culturally appropriate and academically rigorous.
- Provide academic and pastoral support to foreign students, assisting them with essay writing, research skills, presentation techniques, and general study skills.
- Monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and implement strategies to support student success and retention.
- Actively participate in departmental meetings, curriculum review processes, and professional development activities.
- Contribute to the college's internationalization efforts, including student recruitment, orientation, and welfare programs.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment for all students.
- Engage with students outside of formal teaching hours, offering advice and guidance on academic and personal matters relevant to international students.
Required Skills
- Master's degree or higher in a relevant academic discipline.
- Proven experience (minimum 3 years) in teaching at a college or university level.
- Demonstrable experience working with international students or in a multicultural educational setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with strong cultural sensitivity.
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken) with exceptional presentation skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and cultural backgrounds.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, FHEA).
- Experience in teaching English for Academic Purposes (EAP) or study skills to non-native speakers.
