Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments, ensuring they are calibrated and in good working order.
- Assist scientists with experiments, including preparing reagents, media, and samples according to protocols.
- Perform routine laboratory tasks such as glassware washing, sterilization, and waste disposal in accordance with safety and environmental protocols.
- Accurately record and document experimental data, observations, and inventory levels using designated systems.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment, adhering strictly to all health and safety regulations.
- Manage laboratory supplies, including monitoring stock levels, placing orders, receiving deliveries, and organizing storage.
- Troubleshoot minor equipment malfunctions and promptly report more complex issues to senior staff or maintenance.
- Ensure strict adherence to Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and standard operating procedures (SOPs) at all times.
- Collaborate effectively with other team members and communicate progress, challenges, and findings clearly in English.
- Participate actively in laboratory meetings, training sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives as required.
Required Skills
- Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal, for clear communication and documentation.
- Basic understanding of laboratory procedures, techniques, and fundamental safety protocols.
