Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement automation scripts and tools to improve efficiency and reliability of systems and processes.
  • Identify opportunities for automation within existing manual workflows and propose innovative solutions.
  • Integrate automation solutions with various systems and platforms, including CI/CD pipelines, cloud environments, and monitoring tools.
  • Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to gather requirements and deliver robust automation frameworks.
  • Perform thorough testing and debugging of automation scripts to ensure accuracy, performance, and reliability.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for all automation processes, tools, and configurations.
  • Monitor automation systems for performance issues, troubleshoot problems, and implement corrective actions.
  • Stay current with emerging automation technologies, tools, and best practices, and recommend their adoption where beneficial.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of our automation codebase and standards.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, Bash, or Ruby.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and methodologies (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their automation capabilities.
  • Strong understanding of version control systems, particularly Git.
  • Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
  • Solid knowledge of operating systems (Linux, Windows) and networking fundamentals.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for collaborating in a remote setting.
