Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable, highly available, and secure solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Architect and deploy infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or Cloud Deployment Manager.
- Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and testing of cloud resources and applications.
- Monitor GCP environments for performance, cost optimization, and security, implementing improvements as needed.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure cloud best practices are integrated into application design and deployment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to GCP infrastructure and services.
- Participate in on-call rotation to provide operational support for critical systems.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest GCP features, services, and industry trends, evaluating their applicability to our projects.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Strong proficiency in core GCP services (Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud SQL, Cloud Storage, VPC, Cloud IAM)
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, particularly Terraform
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines using tools like Cloud Build, Jenkins, or GitLab CI
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Python, Go, Bash)
- Solid understanding of networking concepts (VPC, subnets, firewalls, load balancers)
- Familiarity with containerization technologies, especially Docker and Kubernetes
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect or Professional Data Engineer certification
- Experience with serverless technologies (Cloud Functions, Cloud Run)
- Knowledge of Big Data services within GCP (BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub)
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Stackdriver (Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging)
- Understanding of security best practices in a cloud environment
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
