Key Responsibilities
- Participate actively in comprehensive training programs focused on tree trimming techniques, equipment operation, and safety protocols.
- Assist experienced arborists and tree trimmers in pruning, felling, and removing trees or branches using hand tools and power equipment.
- Learn to safely operate chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts, and other specialized equipment under supervision.
- Perform ground duties such as clearing brush, feeding chippers, rigging, and preparing worksites.
- Adhere strictly to all safety guidelines, policies, and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and the team.
- Inspect trees for disease, insect infestation, and structural weaknesses, reporting findings to supervisors.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working order, performing routine checks and basic maintenance.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding job progress and potential hazards.
- Work collaboratively as part of a team to complete projects efficiently and to high standards.
- Contribute to site cleanup and restoration after tree work is completed.
