Career.zycto seeks a highly diligent Quality Control Inspector to join our team in Laval-des-Rapides. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine and ad-hoc quality inspections on incoming materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
  • Document inspection results, completing reports, logs, and inputting data into quality management systems.
  • Identify and isolate non-conforming products; initiate and follow through on Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to investigate root causes of defects and implement corrective actions.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure strict adherence to established quality standards and operational procedures.
  • Operate and maintain inspection equipment and tools, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
  • Participate in internal audits and support external quality audits as required.
  • Provide training and guidance to production staff on quality control procedures and best practices.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, strictly adhering to all company safety regulations.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience (minimum 3 years) as a Quality Control Inspector, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of quality control methodologies, tools, and techniques (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma principles).
  • Ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and product specifications.
  • Proficiency in using various measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMM.
  • Excellent attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and robust problem-solving capabilities.
  • Solid communication skills (written and verbal) in English. Proficiency in French is a significant asset.
  • Competence in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for reporting and data analysis.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and effectively as part of a collaborative team.
  • Eligible for visa sponsorship and willingness to relocate to Laval-des-Rapides, Quebec, Canada.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A diploma or degree in a relevant technical field (e.g., Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering).
  • Certification in quality assurance (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Inspector or Technician).
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards and other relevant industry regulations.
  • Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC) software and analysis.
  • Proficiency in French, both written and spoken.
