Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine and ad-hoc quality inspections on incoming materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
- Document inspection results, completing reports, logs, and inputting data into quality management systems.
- Identify and isolate non-conforming products; initiate and follow through on Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to investigate root causes of defects and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor production processes to ensure strict adherence to established quality standards and operational procedures.
- Operate and maintain inspection equipment and tools, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
- Participate in internal audits and support external quality audits as required.
- Provide training and guidance to production staff on quality control procedures and best practices.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, strictly adhering to all company safety regulations.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 3 years) as a Quality Control Inspector, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of quality control methodologies, tools, and techniques (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma principles).
- Ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and product specifications.
- Proficiency in using various measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMM.
- Excellent attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and robust problem-solving capabilities.
- Solid communication skills (written and verbal) in English. Proficiency in French is a significant asset.
- Competence in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for reporting and data analysis.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and effectively as part of a collaborative team.
- Eligible for visa sponsorship and willingness to relocate to Laval-des-Rapides, Quebec, Canada.
Preferred Qualifications
- A diploma or degree in a relevant technical field (e.g., Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering).
- Certification in quality assurance (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Inspector or Technician).
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards and other relevant industry regulations.
- Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC) software and analysis.
