Key Responsibilities
- Process all aspects of pension scheme administration, including joiners, leavers, transfers, and retirements.
- Calculate and process member benefits accurately and efficiently, adhering to scheme rules and regulations.
- Respond to member queries via phone, email, and letter, providing clear, concise, and empathetic advice.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date member records on administration systems.
- Assist with annual renewals, benefit statements, and trustee reports.
- Liaise with scheme actuaries, consultants, and other third parties.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant pension legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Support senior administrators and managers with complex cases and ad-hoc projects.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience in pension scheme administration (DB and/or DC).
- Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
- Ability to interpret complex scheme rules and legislation.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- A client-focused approach with strong problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of Pensions Management Institute (PMI) qualifications or working towards them.
- Experience with specific pension administration software (e.g., Profund, Aquila).
- Knowledge of current pension legislation and industry best practices.
