Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive plumbing installations, repairs, and maintenance services for residential and commercial clients.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot a wide range of plumbing issues, including leaks, clogs, pipe damage, water heater malfunctions, and fixture breakdowns.
- Install, repair, and maintain water heaters, toilets, sinks, faucets, showers, garbage disposals, dishwashers, and other plumbing fixtures and appliances.
- Conduct thorough inspections of plumbing systems to identify potential problems, recommend preventative maintenance, and provide long-term solutions.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs, clearly explain technical problems and proposed solutions, and provide accurate, transparent cost estimates.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, plumbing codes, and industry best practices to ensure safe and compliant service delivery.
- Manage and maintain company-provided tools and equipment, ensuring they are always in good working condition and properly organized.
- Maintain accurate records of all service calls, materials used, hours worked, and customer interactions using our digital systems.
- Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring complete client satisfaction and fostering lasting relationships through professional and courteous conduct.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development programs to stay updated with the latest plumbing technologies, techniques, and industry advancements.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Plumber, particularly in a home service or residential setting, demonstrating a strong track record of successful projects.
- In-depth knowledge of various plumbing systems (e.g., drain, waste, vent, water supply), materials (e.g., PVC, copper, PEX), and tools.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving a wide array of plumbing issues efficiently and effectively.
- Strong understanding of local plumbing codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards in Jamaica.
- Excellent manual dexterity, physical stamina, and the ability to work in various environments (e.g., crawl spaces, attics).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills with an ability to work under pressure.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of clearly explaining complex issues to clients.
- Valid Jamaican driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Proficiency in using common plumbing tools and diagnostic equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Vocational training or certification in plumbing from a recognized institution.
- Experience with advanced plumbing technologies such as PEX piping, tankless water heaters, or smart home plumbing systems.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage a service route effectively, and prioritize tasks.
- A strong portfolio of successfully completed plumbing projects and client testimonials.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certifications in specific plumbing specialties (e.g., gas fitting, backflow prevention).
