Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain database servers and systems, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.
- Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement performance tuning strategies.
- Develop, implement, and test database backup and recovery plans to ensure data integrity and business continuity.
- Manage database security, including user access, roles, and permissions, in compliance with best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Perform routine database maintenance tasks such as indexing, archiving, and data migration.
- Collaborate with development teams to design and optimize database schemas and queries.
- Provide expert advice and support for database-related projects and initiatives.
- Plan and execute database capacity planning and upgrades.
- Document database configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience as a Database Administrator.
- Proficiency in SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL administration.
- Strong understanding of database performance tuning and optimization techniques.
