Job Description
This is an exceptional opportunity for a highly skilled and motivated Cloud Engineer to join our client’s innovative and rapidly expanding team, strategically located near London City Airport. Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems on major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery and infrastructure provisioning.
- Monitor cloud infrastructure performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure optimal resource utilization.
- Develop and enforce cloud security best practices, compliance, and governance.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate cloud services and optimize application performance.
- Manage disaster recovery planning, backup strategies, and business continuity for cloud environments.
- Participate in on-call rotations and provide support for critical cloud infrastructure incidents.
- Stay abreast of emerging cloud technologies and recommend their adoption where beneficial.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM Templates).
- Solid understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Scripting proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, CircleCI).
- Networking fundamentals, including VPCs, subnets, routing, and security groups.
- Linux/Windows operating system administration.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator Associate).
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Splunk).
- Knowledge of database technologies (SQL, NoSQL).
- Familiarity with serverless architectures (AWS Lambda, Azure Functions).
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
