Career.zycto is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Full-Time Athletic Trainer to join our dedicated team in Westmount, Moose Jaw. This is an exceptional opportunity for a passionate individual to play a critical role in promoting health, preventing injuries, and facilitating recovery for individuals across various activity levels. As an Athletic Trainer with Career.zycto, you will be instrumental in providing comprehensive athletic training services, including injury assessment, immediate care, treatment, rehabilitation, and reconditioning programs. Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive injury assessments, evaluations, and diagnoses for acute and chronic conditions.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment and rehabilitation programs.
- Provide immediate and emergency care for injuries and illnesses in athletic and clinical settings.
- Educate clients, athletes, and the community on injury prevention, proper mechanics, and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, coaches, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records, documenting assessments, treatments, and progress.
- Utilize various therapeutic modalities, manual therapy techniques, and exercise prescription.
- Assist in the development and implementation of performance enhancement and reconditioning programs.
- Adhere to all professional ethical standards, regulations, and best practices in athletic training.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.
Required Skills
- Certified Athletic Therapist (CAT(C)) or equivalent certification recognized in Canada
- Bachelor's degree in Athletic Therapy, Kinesiology, or a related field
- Proven experience in injury assessment, prevention, and rehabilitation
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, and exercise science
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Proficiency in clinical documentation and record keeping
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a related health science discipline
- 2+ years of clinical experience in an athletic training or sports medicine setting
- Experience with diverse populations, including youth, adult, and geriatric clients
- Familiarity with various therapeutic equipment and software
- Additional certifications (e.g., CSCS, First Aid/CPR Instructor)
