Key Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome patients in a warm and professional manner, both in person and over the phone.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments, managing the practice's diary efficiently to optimize flow.
- Process patient registrations, update personal and medical information accurately.
- Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails and postal mail.
- Manage patient billing, payments, and insurance claims, providing clear explanations as needed.
- Maintain strict patient confidentiality and adhere to all data protection regulations (GDPR).
- Prepare and maintain patient records, ensuring all documentation is complete and up-to-date.
- Answer patient queries and provide general information about dental procedures, appointments, and practice policies.
- Maintain a tidy and organised reception area, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
- Assist with administrative tasks to support the wider dental team as required.
Required Skills
- Fluent spoken and written English communication skills.
- Proven experience in a reception or customer service role, preferably within a healthcare setting.
