Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated NGO Officer to join our client’s dynamic team in Nether Poppleton, York. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning, development, and implementation of NGO projects and programs.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential challenges, and propose solutions to ensure timely completion.
  • Prepare comprehensive project reports, proposals, and other necessary documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Liaise effectively with local communities, governmental bodies, partner organizations, and beneficiaries.
  • Organize and facilitate workshops, training sessions, and community engagement activities.
  • Support fundraising efforts by contributing to grant applications and donor reports.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, donor requirements, and ethical guidelines.
  • Conduct field visits to project sites as required to oversee activities and gather feedback.
  • Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure financial accountability.
  • Promote the organization's mission and values through all interactions and activities.

Required Skills

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Proven experience in project management or coordination, preferably within the NGO sector.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse groups.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities, with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated understanding of community development principles and practices.

Preferred Qualifications
