As a Penetration Tester at Career.zycto, you will be at the forefront of protecting our clients’ digital assets. Key Responsibilities
- Execute comprehensive penetration tests across web applications, networks, mobile platforms, and cloud environments.
- Identify, exploit, and document security vulnerabilities using industry-standard tools and manual techniques.
- Develop detailed, high-quality technical reports outlining findings, risks, and remediation strategies.
- Present assessment results and recommendations to diverse stakeholders, ranging from technical teams to executive leadership.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to advise on best practices for vulnerability remediation and secure design.
- Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity threats, attack vectors, vulnerabilities, and defensive technologies.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of penetration testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Participate in threat modeling exercises and security architecture reviews.
- Conduct social engineering assessments and physical security evaluations as required.
Required Skills
- Proven experience with penetration testing tools such as Kali Linux, Metasploit, Burp Suite Professional, Nmap, Nessus, and Wireshark.
- Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP/S, DNS), operating systems (Linux, Windows), and web technologies.
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation and exploit development.
- In-depth knowledge of common web application vulnerabilities (OWASP Top 10) and network attack vectors.
- Excellent analytical skills to identify complex security flaws and strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing, in English.
- Ability to work independently on projects and collaborate effectively within a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant industry certifications such as Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), GIAC Web Application Penetration Tester (GWAPT), or similar.
- Experience with cloud security assessments for major providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Familiarity with security compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001, PCI DSS).
- Experience in performing secure code reviews or static/dynamic application security testing (SAST/DAST).
- Knowledge of containerization technologies and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes) security.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
