Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive pest inspections of residential, commercial, and industrial properties.
- Identify pest infestations, assess damage, and determine appropriate treatment strategies.
- Apply pesticides and other pest control treatments safely and efficiently, adhering to all regulations.
- Install and maintain pest monitoring and exclusion devices.
- Provide expert advice to clients on pest prevention and control measures.
- Complete detailed service reports, maintaining accurate records of treatments and recommendations.
- Manage and maintain assigned equipment and vehicles in excellent working condition.
- Respond promptly to service calls and emergency pest situations.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and company policies at all times.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development programs.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Pest Control Technician (minimum 1 year).
- BPCA Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Pest Management.
- Strong knowledge of pest biology, behaviour, and effective control methods.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a varied service route.
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
- Valid UK Driving Licence.
- Ability to handle chemicals safely and adhere to strict safety protocols.
- Physically fit and able to work in various environments (e.g., confined spaces, heights).
Preferred Qualifications
- BPCA Level 3 qualification.
- Experience with specialist pest control equipment (e.g., foggers, heat treatments).
- Familiarity with digital reporting systems.
- First Aid certification.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
