Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive volunteer recruitment strategies to attract a diverse pool of dedicated individuals.
- Conduct thorough onboarding and orientation sessions for new volunteers, ensuring they understand our mission, values, and their specific roles.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all volunteers, providing ongoing support, guidance, and conflict resolution as needed.
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date volunteer database, including contact information, availability, skills, and hours contributed.
- Coordinate volunteer schedules, assignments, and logistics for various programs and events, ensuring adequate coverage and support.
- Plan and execute volunteer recognition programs and appreciation events to acknowledge and celebrate their invaluable contributions.
- Collaborate with internal teams and program managers to identify volunteer needs and develop appropriate role descriptions.
- Gather feedback from volunteers and staff to continuously improve the volunteer experience and program effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and safety guidelines for volunteers.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in volunteer management or community outreach.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and volunteer management software (or similar database tools).
