Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently deliver a variety of items to customers within Wetherby and the surrounding areas.
- Adhere to designated routes and schedules, ensuring timely deliveries.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain customer signatures as required.
- Conduct pre- and post-vehicle checks, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Provide exceptional customer service, maintaining a professional and courteous attitude at all times.
- Load and unload parcels from the delivery vehicle carefully and securely.
- Handle cash or payment transactions when necessary, following company protocols.
- Comply with all traffic laws and company safety regulations.
- Represent Career.zycto and our clients with professionalism and integrity.
Required Skills
- Valid UK Driving License (Category B minimum).
- Excellent driving record with no more than 6 penalty points.
- Strong geographical knowledge of Wetherby and the surrounding Leeds area, or ability to quickly learn.
- Ability to lift and carry packages of varying weights (up to 25kg).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and highly organised.
- Customer-focused approach with a friendly demeanour.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills for delivery logs and manifest.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a multi-drop delivery role.
- Knowledge of local traffic patterns and alternative routes.
- Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and delivery apps.
- An understanding of basic vehicle maintenance.
- Ability to speak multiple languages is a plus, though not essential.
