This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned professional to lead complex, high-impact projects from conception to completion. As a Construction Manager, you will be the linchpin of our client’s on-site operations, ensuring that all projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. You will be responsible for overseeing all phases of construction, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, and supervision of trade contractors and site personnel.
The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of successfully managing diverse commercial, residential, or industrial construction projects. Your expertise will be crucial in interpreting blueprints, specifications, and contracts, while proactively identifying and mitigating potential risks. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all aspects of construction projects from initiation to closeout.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, budget, schedule, and resource requirements.
- Oversee site operations, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and environmental regulations.
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions.
- Manage project budgets, approve expenditures, and ensure cost-effective resource utilization.
- Maintain strong client relationships, providing regular updates and addressing concerns proactively.
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks.
- Ensure compliance with all local, provincial, and federal building codes and regulations.
- Prepare and present project reports, forecasts, and status updates to stakeholders.
- Champion a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement on site.
- Facilitate effective communication among all project participants.
Required Skills
- Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in construction management.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex multi-disciplinary construction projects.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6).
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven negotiation and conflict resolution abilities.
- Solid financial acumen and experience with budget management.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent.
