Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis, preparing summaries and memoranda for solicitors.
  • Draft, review, and proofread legal documents, including correspondence, pleadings, and contracts.
  • Assist in the preparation for court hearings, trials, and meetings, including compiling bundles and exhibits.
  • Manage and organise case files, ensuring all documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and readily accessible.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, courts, and opposing counsel, handling inquiries and scheduling appointments.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all client and company information.
  • Perform administrative duties as required to support the legal team.
  • Keep abreast of changes in legislation and legal practices relevant to the firm's areas of specialisation.

Required Skills

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken) with excellent grammar and spelling.
  • Proven experience as a Paralegal or in a similar legal support role.
  • Strong understanding of legal terminology and legal procedures.
  • Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to conduct thorough legal research using online databases (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Law or a related field, or a Paralegal Certificate.
  • Experience in specific legal practice areas relevant to the firm (e.g., property law, family law, litigation).
  • Familiarity with case management software.
