Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient ETL/ELT pipelines for batch and real-time data processing.
  • Architect and optimize data warehousing solutions, ensuring data integrity, security, and accessibility across our platforms.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions.
  • Implement and manage data governance policies, including data quality, lineage, and metadata management, ensuring compliance and best practices.
  • Monitor data pipeline performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement proactive solutions to ensure continuous data availability and reliability.
  • Evaluate and integrate new data tools and technologies to enhance our data platform capabilities and stay ahead of industry trends.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for data architecture, pipelines, and processes.
  • Participate in code reviews and uphold best practices for data engineering, promoting a culture of quality and continuous improvement.

Required Skills

  • Strong proficiency in SQL and Python for data manipulation, analysis, and scripting.
  • Extensive experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS Redshift/Glue/S3, Google BigQuery/Dataflow, Azure Synapse/Data Factory).
  • Demonstrated experience with data warehousing concepts and design (e.g., dimensional modeling, data lakes, star/snowflake schemas).
  • Solid understanding of ETL/ELT principles, data ingestion strategies, and data transformation best practices.
  • Proficiency with version control systems, especially Git, in a collaborative development environment.
  • Experience with data orchestration tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, Dagster) for scheduling and managing data workflows.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and collaborate seamlessly in a fully remote team environment.
