Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient ETL/ELT pipelines for batch and real-time data processing.
- Architect and optimize data warehousing solutions, ensuring data integrity, security, and accessibility across our platforms.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions.
- Implement and manage data governance policies, including data quality, lineage, and metadata management, ensuring compliance and best practices.
- Monitor data pipeline performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement proactive solutions to ensure continuous data availability and reliability.
- Evaluate and integrate new data tools and technologies to enhance our data platform capabilities and stay ahead of industry trends.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for data architecture, pipelines, and processes.
- Participate in code reviews and uphold best practices for data engineering, promoting a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
Required Skills
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python for data manipulation, analysis, and scripting.
- Extensive experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS Redshift/Glue/S3, Google BigQuery/Dataflow, Azure Synapse/Data Factory).
- Demonstrated experience with data warehousing concepts and design (e.g., dimensional modeling, data lakes, star/snowflake schemas).
- Solid understanding of ETL/ELT principles, data ingestion strategies, and data transformation best practices.
- Proficiency with version control systems, especially Git, in a collaborative development environment.
- Experience with data orchestration tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, Dagster) for scheduling and managing data workflows.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts.
