  • Refer students to appropriate external support services, including mental health professionals, immigration advisors, legal aid, and community resources, fostering a robust support network.
  • Proactively monitor student progress and well-being, intervening with tailored support strategies and preventative measures as needed.
  • Educate staff and faculty on best practices for supporting international students and promoting cultural sensitivity and inclusion within the school environment.
  • Maintain confidential student records with meticulous attention to detail and ensure strict compliance with relevant privacy policies and educational regulations.
  • Advocate effectively for foreign students' needs and rights within the broader school community and beyond.
  • Organize and facilitate engaging social and cultural integration activities to help students connect with peers and the local community, fostering a sense of belonging.

  • Minimum 2 years of progressive experience in counselling, preferably within an educational setting or with diverse international populations.
  • Demonstrated understanding of diverse cultural backgrounds, their impact on student experience, and effective cross-cultural communication strategies.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build immediate rapport with students, parents, and school staff from various backgrounds.
  • Strong crisis intervention and problem-solving abilities, coupled with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, with additional language skills considered a significant asset.
