Job Description
We are seeking a visionary and results-driven Director of User Experience (UX) to lead our design strategy and elevate the overall user experience across all our digital products and services. As Director of UX, you will be instrumental in defining and championing a user-centric culture within Negros Internet Solutions. You will oversee the entire UX lifecycle, from research and conceptualization to prototyping, testing, and implementation, ensuring that every digital touchpoint is intuitive, engaging, and highly effective. This role requires a leader who can not only set the strategic direction for UX but also inspire and mentor a team of talented designers. You will collaborate closely with product management, engineering, and sales teams to align UX initiatives with business objectives, drive innovation, and deliver exceptional value to our clients and their end-users. Key Responsibilities
- Define and drive the overall UX vision, strategy, and roadmap for all company products and client projects.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of UX/UI designers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and design excellence.
- Oversee user research activities, including interviews, surveys, usability testing, and competitor analysis, to inform design decisions.
- Develop and maintain design systems, guidelines, and best practices to ensure consistency and quality across all digital assets.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, developers, and business stakeholders to translate user needs and business requirements into compelling UX solutions.
- Present and articulate design concepts, rationale, and user research findings to internal teams and external clients.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and user experience methodologies to continually innovate and improve our offerings.
- Champion user advocacy throughout the product development process, ensuring user needs are at the core of every decision.
Required Skills
- 10+ years of professional experience in UX/UI design, with at least 3 years in a leadership or directorial role.
- Demonstrated expertise in user-centered design principles, information architecture, usability testing, and interaction design.
- Proficiency with leading design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, InVision).
- Strong portfolio showcasing successful digital products and design leadership.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to articulate design decisions and strategies.
- Proven ability to manage and mentor a team of designers.
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a design-related field or MBA.
- Experience working in an agency environment or a software product company.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Knowledge of front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to better understand implementation constraints.
