Career.zycto is seeking a passionate and skilled Podcast Producer to join our dynamic team in East Vancouver, Vancouver. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative individual with a strong command of the English language, excellent storytelling abilities, and a proven track record in audio production. As our Podcast Producer, you will be instrumental in conceptualizing, developing, and delivering compelling audio content that resonates with our diverse audience. You’ll manage podcasts from ideation through final distribution, ensuring every episode meets our high standards for quality, engagement, and technical excellence. We are looking for someone who can not only bring stories to life through sound but also manage projects efficiently, collaborate effectively with hosts and subject matter experts, and contribute fresh ideas to our growing portfolio of audio productions. Key Responsibilities
- Conceptualize and develop new podcast series and episodes, including topic research and guest identification.
- Manage the entire production workflow from pre-production to post-production, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality audio content.
- Direct and coach podcast hosts and guests during recording sessions for optimal performance and engaging conversations.
- Perform advanced audio editing, mixing, and mastering using industry-standard Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs) to achieve broadcast-ready sound.
- Integrate sound design, music, and voiceovers effectively to enhance narrative flow and listener experience.
- Collaborate with marketing and content teams to develop promotional strategies and assets for new episodes and series.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources for multiple concurrent podcast productions.
- Ensure all content adheres to ethical guidelines, copyright laws, and brand voice.
- Stay abreast of podcasting trends, technologies, and best practices to continually innovate and improve our audio offerings.
Required Skills
- Fluency in English (both spoken and written) with exceptional command of grammar and style.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in podcast production, audio engineering, or similar roles.
- Proficiency with professional audio editing software (e.g., Adobe Audition, Pro Tools, Logic Pro X).
- Strong understanding of audio recording techniques, sound design principles, mixing, and mastering.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to craft compelling narratives and engage listeners through audio.
- Experience with podcast distribution platforms and RSS feeds.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for directing hosts and collaborating with team members.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Media Production, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
- Experience with remote recording setups and managing international guests.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices for podcast titles and descriptions.
