Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of the company's financial operations, including accounting, budgetary control, treasury, and financial reporting.
- Prepare and analyze accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with UK accounting standards (FRS 102/IFRS).
- Develop and implement robust internal financial controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.
- Manage the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors and ensuring timely completion.
- Provide strategic financial guidance and support to senior management, informing key business decisions and growth initiatives.
- Monitor cash flow, manage working capital, and conduct financial forecasting and variance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations (VAT, Corporation Tax) and financial legislation in the UK.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller or in a similar senior finance role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP, IFRS, or FRS 102).
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Xero, Sage).
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, financial modeling).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
- Must be legally eligible to work in the UK (visa sponsorship may be considered for exceptional candidates).
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
