Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test embedded software for new and existing products.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to define system architecture and interfaces.
- Develop firmware for microcontrollers and microprocessors.
- Implement and debug real-time operating systems (RTOS) and bare-metal applications.
- Conduct hardware-software integration and system-level testing.
- Perform code reviews, maintain comprehensive documentation, and contribute to software release processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in embedded systems at both hardware and software levels.
- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in embedded systems development.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems development.
- Strong understanding of microcontroller/microprocessor architectures (e.g., ARM Cortex-M/R/A, PIC, AVR).
- Extensive experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) like FreeRTOS, Zephyr, or bare-metal programming.
- Familiarity with various communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, USB, Ethernet, Modbus).
- Hands-on experience with debugging tools (JTAG/SWD debuggers, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers).
- Solid understanding of hardware-software integration principles and practices.
- Proficiency with version control systems, particularly Git.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python) for testing, automation, and data analysis.
- Knowledge of embedded Linux or other higher-level embedded operating systems.

- Familiarity with hardware design principles, schematic review, and PCB layout considerations.
